Attorney disputes DFCS report in Henry Co. foster child death

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- There are new developments in the case of a 2-year-old who was allegedly murdered at the hands of her foster mother in Henry County.

Henry Co. police issue critical missing person alert

UPDATE: Police have reported that Turner Arnold was found safe.

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- A young man with developmental issues has gone missing and Henry County police are pleading for the public's help in finding him.

Police said 24-year-old Turner Arnold was last seen around midnight on Wednesday near his residence on Hood Road in Stockbridge, Ga.

Officials said Arnold, who has blond hair and green eyes looks young for his age. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing Green plaid pajamas and rain boots.

Police are describing the case as a critical missing person report.

NASA: Meteor confirmed, fragments possible south of Atlanta

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. -- NASA has identified a fiery object seen flying across Georgia near Henry County, Thursday night.

Officials with the space agency said that around 6:30 p.m. they received several reports of a bright fireball shooting across the sky.

Authorities in the scientific community have since identified the object as a piece of an asteroid that likely weighed at least 150 pounds as it streaked 50 miles above McDonough, Ga.

It entered the atmosphere at approximately 29,000 mph.

That’s when the fireball stopped producing light by ablation – or brightly burning up.

Now the hunt is on by amateur meteorite hunters in the area of Locust Grove and counties adjacent to Henry County where NASA believes potential chucks may have made landfall.

ATLANTA  (WXIA) – A State Division of Family and Children’s Services report reveals new details in the death of a 2-year-old Henry County girl.

Jennifer Rosenbaum is charged in the Nov. 17 death of her foster child, Laila Marie Daniel.

Henry Co. commission candidate charged in child's death released on bond

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- A Henry County foster mother and county commission candidate is out on bail after the death of a 2-year-old child in her care.

Jennifer Rosenbaum was released Tuesday night on $100,000 bond.

Henry County 911 received the emergency call from Rosenbaum on Nov. 17 as the Rosenbaum who was later charged with murder and child abuse.

On the call, Rosenbaum sounded frantic and panicked. She reported that the child, Laila Marie Daniel, appeared to be choking on food and was having trouble breathing.

However, arrest warrants for Rosenbaum said she struck the child so hard in her abdomen that she sustained a transected pancreas – an injury the affidavit was a “major contributing factor to the child’s death.”
