MCDONOUGH: How does a family of 15 manage back-to-school? | Families
MCDONOUGH, Ga. -- If you think back-to-shopping is stressful for one, two or three children, you've got nothing on the Adkins family in Henry County.
Jerome and LaChelle Adkins have 13 children and one due in November.
"We'd planned to be done after we had seven, and here we are after 14," said LaChelle, a stay-at-home mom. Her husband is a retail manager.
The kids range from 21 years old to 16 months and there are no twins.
Their children are Brenndon 21, Taylor 18, Christian 18, Jonathan 16, Alexandria 15, Mackenzie 13, Victoria 12, Elisabeth 10, Olivia 8, Danielle 6, Jeremiah 4, Joshua 3, and Jordan 16 months.
"I enjoy being able to train them up in the way that they should go," LaChelle said. "It's challenging. We have our moments. We've been blessed. I had them all natural, no pain medicine, so to me they're a testimony."
