HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- Rapper Kayo Redd, brother of well-known rapper Waka Flocka Flame, died Sunday from what police said appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Henry County police said 22-year-old Kayo Redd, whose real name is Caodes Scott, was found in a car at the Eagle's Landing Country Club subdivision, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head Sunday night.
Flame, whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs, posted a link to a Flipagram video that simply said "R.I.P. KayO" and showed a montage of images of Redd.
Debra Antney, mother of Flame and Redd, posted a tweet that simply said, "I just lost another son."
According to music industry magazines and blogs, Redd had been promoting a new mixtape over the past few weeks.
