Krispy Kreme introduces camping-inspired donuts

(WXIA) -- Whether you enjoy camping in the woods or on the couch, Krispy Kreme has the perfect new donut for you.

The chain recently launched three new "campfire" donuts. They are available now through Sunday, May 17, and include:

Oreo Dirt Cake: A yeast donut filled with a blend of Kreme filling and Oreo cookie crumbles, dipped in milk chocolate and topped with Oreo cookie crumbles and a gummy candy worm

S'mores: A yeast donut filled with marshmallow Kreme, dipped in milk chocolate and topped with a blend of graham cracker crumbles, chocolate chips and white icing drizzle

Honey Bee: A donut dipped in yellow icing with a candy sugar piece

T.MAC raises money for Christopher Sparkman

(WXIA) -- All 22 Atlanta-area T.MAC restaurants will raise money for Christopher Sparkman this week.

Sparkman was working as a security guard at a Kennesaw FedEx facility last April when he was shot in the abdomen. Since the shooting, Sparkman has undergone more than 30 surgeries. His wife Jamie Lynn quit her job to help take care of him.

The Sparkman family faces enormous medical bills; Jamie Lynn has spoken publicly about the need for financial assistance.

T.MAC customers who want to help Sparkman pay for his treatment can do so on Thursday, Apr. 2. Diners can drop their receipts in designated collection boxes; 10 percent of their bills will be donated to the Sparkman family.

(WXIA) -- To celebrate its 51st birthday, Blimpie is offering 51¢ sandwiches this week.

The first 100 customers to visit any Blimpie location nationwide on Thursday, Apr. 2 will be able to order a regular-sized Blimpie Best sub for only 51¢. The promotion is limited to one sandwich per person.

Blimpie also plans to bring back its Hoboken Hero, an Italian sub created especially for last year's 50th anniversary celebration, in May.

Between Mar. 23 and Apr. 5, Krispy Kreme customers can order:

Chick: A yeast Kreme-filled shell dipped in yellow icing, topped with granulated sugar, and hand-decorated like a baby chick

Egg: A yeast egg-shaped shell filled with chocolate Kreme and hand-decorated with colored icing

Chocolate-Iced with Spring Spinkles: A glazed ring dipped in chocolate and topped with colorful sprinkles

Wear pajamas, get free ice cream

(WXIA) -- With warmer weather right around the corner, Bruster's is offering free ice cream to anyone brave enough to leave the house in pajamas.

The ice cream shop chain will hold its PJ Day promotion all day on Saturday, Mar. 7. Customers who wear their pajamas to any Bruster's in metro Atlanta will receive a free small waffle cone.

Free short stack at IHOP for National Pancake Day

(WXIA) -- Tuesday is National Pancake Day, and all Atlanta-area IHOP locations are celebrating by offering free short stacks to customers who support Children's Miracle Network.

Every year, IHOP restaurants raise money for children's hospitals nationwide, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, on National Pancake Day. Diners have the option of making a donation in exchange for free buttermilk pancakes.

Reigning Miss Georgia Maggie Bridges stopped by the IHOP in Chamblee Tuesday morning, where she served breakfast and spoke with Children's Miracle Network Champion Sutton Burnett. Other local Miracle Children visited the IHOP restaurants in Peachtree City, Smyrna and Woodstock.

Chick-fil-A to host Daddy-Daughter Date Night

(WXIA) -- Chick-fil-A will bring back its popular Daddy-Daughter Date Night this weekend.

The fifth annual event will be Saturday, Feb. 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at participating restaurants.

Daddy-Daughter Date Night encourages fathers and their little girls to spend time together. Every "couple" will receive take-home booklets featuring conversation starters and ideas for future outings.

Attendees will also be treated to tableside service, limousine and trolley rides, and other surprises.

Daddy-Daughter Date Night is free, except for the cost of food. Seating is available every hour; fathers and daughters are encouraged to call their local Chick-fil-A locations in advance to reserve a time.
