MCDONOUGH, Ga. -- Did you buy a lottery ticket in McDonough? You may be a whole lot richer.

A winning Georgia Lottery Decades of Dollars ticket was sold at the Provisions BP on Highway 20. Winning numbers were 30-35-36-37-40-43.

Decades of Dollars' top prize is $250,000 a year for 30 years. Another winning ticket was sold in Smyrna in March.

The winner has 180 days from Thursday, May 3 to claim the money.

Grandmother wins new Cadillac from Ga. Lottery

ALMA, Ga. -- An Alma woman recently took a road trip to pick up a fantastic prize from the Georgia Lottery.

Patricia Wooten received the keys to her brand new Cadillac SRX Crossover Wednesday. She is one of two Georgia residents to win a car from Heritage Cadillac in Morrow, courtesy of the Georgia Lottery.

"When I saw that I'd won, all I could say was, 'Are you serious?' I could find any other words," Wooten said.

Wooten, who has three adult children and seven grandchildren, purchased her winning ticket from The Easy on North Pierce Street in her hometown of Alma, in south Georgia.

"I wanted a new car, and I got one," she said, adding that she now feels like a celebrity. "I can't wait to get my hands on it!"

Mega Millions 'springs forward' to $171M

ATLANTA -- Mega Millions sprang forward with your clocks this weekend.

Tuesday's jackpot has jumped to an estimated $171 million, the Georgia Lottery announced Monday.

Mega Millions offers two jackpot payment options -- approximately $6.5 million a year for 26 years with the annuity choice, or a single payment worth approximately $124 million.

Tickets are only $1 per play. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.

Who knows -- maybe you could be the next Marcia Adams, the College Park accountant who won $72 million in a January Mega Millions drawing.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions benefit education in the state.
