The Henry County Administration Building has expanded its gallery of student artwork! A second set of students' artwork has been installed in the County Administration Building thanks to the Arts Initiative launched last year by the Henry County Board of Commissioners in partnership with the Board of Education and the local Arts Coalition.  The program is designed to highlight the extraordinary artwork being created by our young people by displaying select pieces in the County Administration Building. 

The pieces were selected by the various art teachers, and the array of artwork not only showcases the amazing talent of Henry County’s public elementary, middle and high school students, but also demonstrates the wide variety of media and artistic styles being taught in the school system.  Joni Bowen, an art teacher in the Henry County schools, helped to organize the initiative. The pieces will be rotated out in January 2012, when a new grouping goes on display.

Running Away to Join the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus

OK, so I’m not really running away to JOIN the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus even though I’d LOVE to hang with the clowns, but I am going... And, I want you to go, too!

There’s also an All Access Pre-Show where all ticket holders can meet the performers and animals, learn circus skills and enjoy a taste of the performance before the show starts.
