MCDONOUGH, Ga. -- Two people have been charged with murdering a Henry County man with whom one of the suspects was living.

Michael Raymond Patton, 45, was found dead Sunday morning in his Highland Drive home.

Henry County Police Sgt. Joey Smith said Patton was shot to death. Investigators determined a woman living in the house, 44-year-old Tonia Lynn Gantt, conspired with another suspect to rob Patton before he died.

Gantt and 49-year-old Joseph Franklin Norris shot Patton during the attempted robbery, according to Smith. Gantt suffered a head injury during the incident.

Both suspects are being held in the Henry County Jail on murder charges. Gantt has also been charged with methamphetamine possession.
