Annual 'Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt' to be held at Nash Farm Park on 3/30

With spring-like temperatures peeking around the corner, the Henry County Parks and Recreation Department is getting ready for its yearly “eggstravaganza” by hosting the annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt to be held at Nash Farm Park on Friday, March 30 from 5:30 until sundown.

Henry County’s Easter Egg Hunt is a fun-filled event for families and children to visit beautiful Nash Farm Park and hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs in a non-traditional way-- after the sun goes down!

Prior to the hunt, children of all ages will jump into fun with make-and-take coloring crafts, games such as the bean bag toss, the bunny hop, the three-legged race and much more. There will also be inflatables for the kids, a petting zoo and crafts, and Radio Disney AM 590 will be there from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., spinning the latest pop tunes and offering tons of music and prizes.

Egg hunting will begin at 7:00 p.m. for children ages two through five, and the Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt will begin at sundown for ages six through 12. A grand prize is available in four age groups for whoever finds the golden egg. The grand prizes for the younger age groups will be Easter baskets chock full of goodies, and gift certificates will go to the two winners from the older age groups. Don’t forget to bring your sweet-tooth, because each egg contains a candy surprise inside!

Participants may have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny for $10 and face painting will be available for a fee. Concessions will also be available for purchase.

This year’s Flashlight Easter Hunt is being provided through the generous sponsorship of SBZ Services Unlimited, Inc., along with Zaxby’s and People First of Henry County.

Nash Farm Park is located at 4361 Jonesboro Road in Hampton. For more information, call 770.288.7300 or visit www.hcprd.org
