Stockbridge, GA--  (submited by Concerned Citizens of Stockbridge)

There is going to be a MAJOR Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 630PM in Stockbridge City Council Chambers.

Members of the Georgia State Legislature have called this meeting to hear from the citizens regarding a proposed change of city government (CHARTER)

Our City Council has been fighting with the CITIZEN ELECTED Mayor and have petitioned the Georgia State Legislature to punish the mayor by changing our City Charter to a City Manager form of government and making the mayoral position simply ceremonial.

The citizens of Stockbridge strongly oppose the change being mandated by City Council - without any representation or input on the part of the citizens!
